Proctor Estate

The mansion and various outbuildings were built in 1908 and remained the home of the Proctor family until the 1940's. In January, 1999, the property was purchased by New England Biolabs, Inc., a biotech research and development company. This magnificent estate located in Ipswich, MA is full of history.

Landmark had the opportunity to perform the masonry restoration on this project. The main house required all facets of masonry restoration including the demolition and rebuilding of a tower that was used as a 5,000 gallon holding tank for water. The carriage house also was in need of major brick restoration. Most all of the limestone on both buildings was in disrepair. Stones beyond repair were expertly fabricated to match existing.
